Father's Day aka Meat Fest 2015

Eating gator and corn bread

Alligator, marinated skirt steak, brats, corn bread, 
Skirt Steak Marinade
lime juice (lots)
Chipotle or Chili Morita* - dried
Cumin
Negro peppers
Cilantro
Garlic
Olive oil
Apple cider vinegar

*morita chile is just a smoked jalapeño, much like a chipotle but smaller and more fiery.

Fear no meat!
 
Grilling the ALLIGATOR
Garlic granules, salt, a little bit of cayenne and you've got some DELICIOUS gator!

Pre-dinner play

Rich Corn Cake
Sift together
3/4 cup cornmeal
1 cup flour
1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
3/4 teaspoon salt
Mix in
1/4 cup milk
1 cup yogurt or sour cream
1 egg, beaten
2 tablespoons melted butter
    Spoon into a shallow buttered 8×8 inch pan.  Bake 20 minutes @425 degrees F.
    Serve with butter & honey.
